Rose Marie Brook
Rose Marie Brook is the Managing Attorney for the Michigan office of Hladik, Onorato & Federman, LLP. Rose Marie brings decades of experience in default servicing, bankruptcy and litigation to HOF.
Prior to joining HOF, Rose Marie was the president and founding partner of Fabrizio & Brook, P.C. Her practice has focused on creditors’ rights and litigation related to consumer lending for close to thirty years. She managed the Fabrizio firm since the early 1990s.
Rose Marie has been an active participant in the default servicing industry and continues her expertise in expanding HOF’s practice in the mid-west. Rose Marie has been an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and the Michigan Bankers Association. In conjunction with her bankruptcy practice, Rose Marie is a member of the Consumer Bankruptcy Association and former member of the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees. She also served the mortgage industry on the Government Affairs Committee of the Legal League 100.
Rose Marie is an advocate for educating the public and those within the mortgage industry of the on-going changes in the law within her specialized areas of practice. She has appeared on Detroit’s PBS network television as an expert on consumer bankruptcy law and has chaired bankruptcy seminars in both the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan for the National Business Institute (NBI). She has presented at conferences throughout the county on regulatory and compliance issues facing mortgage lenders as well as presenting educational seminars to clients at industry conferences. She is an active participant in the associations and industries served by HOF, contributing through sponsorships and authoring articles in national publications. Rose Marie has published articles of note in the Legal League Quarterly, DS News and other industry publications.
In addition to her service to her clients and the default servicing industry, Rose Marie is actively involved in her community, local Chamber of Commerce and various charitable organizations she supports. In 2016, Rose Marie was appointed to the Board of Directors of Six Rivers Land Conservancy.
Rose Marie earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Alma College, which included studies at the University of Wollongong just outside of Sydney Australia. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law, which included classes at John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, which she completed with academic honors.
